CHEST made several updates in 2024 to enhance the user experience on our primary website, chestnet.org. We made it easier for members to update their credit card information for autorenewing their membership, brought registration for our board review courses in-house, improved the usability of the philanthropy donation form, simplified the process for purchasing multiple CHEST educational products at once, and many other technical improvements.

We also launched new web pages on interstitial lung disease resources and the CHEST Health Equity Task Force, redesigned our guideline development and submissions web page, created web pages to support new products like CHEST SEEK® Critical Care Medicine for Advanced Practice Providers and CHEST Curriculum Pathway for Pulmonary Hypertension, and much more.

Direct outreach

CHEST directly reaches our audience through targeted email campaigns and newsletters that provide updates on the latest advancements in chest medicine. While newsletters are shared broadly, direct emails are highly customized. For example, an email to fellows about the annual meeting would highlight content beneficial to someone nearing the end of their training. Tailoring content to the individual’s interests and needs is another way we serve our members.

CHEST also produces a news publication (CHEST Physician®), advocacy publication (CHEST Advocates), and a variety of newsletters, ranging from semi-targeted topic collection newsletters (asthma, COPD, sleep, and more) to the daily CHEST Today® and weekly CHEST NewsBrief® newsletters, which cover general chest medicine news, hot topics, and CHEST-specific news.

In 2025, CHEST is expanding the reach of the CHEST Physician publication and CHEST Today newsletter, as well as improving the online experience for our members and readers.
