For the third year, CHEST was named one of the best places to work by major Chicago newspaper, the Chicago Tribune. The rankings were determined based on employee satisfaction scores from a survey rating statements about their feelings on issues such as leadership of the company, execution, and connection.

Examples of CHEST’s culture in action throughout 2024 included:

  • Raising awareness for lung cancer in the Glenview community (read more in the Glenview Patch)
  • Welcoming summer interns in the IT, HR, Health Equity, Media Production, Product Development, and Simulation/Immersive Learning departments
  • Offering professional coaching services that enhance both performance and mental well-being and, for the first year, optional pet insurance as part of the benefits package
  • Providing security for employees with access to credit monitoring services at no charge

Employee engagement

To keep the office engaging, CHEST hosted on-site events for employees throughout the year, including:

  • Busy breaks to celebrate the solar eclipse and National “Pop” Day with popcorn, popsicles, Pop Rocks, and more
  • Employee appreciation week, including Corporate Mullet Day, where employees dressed business casual from the waist up
  • A holiday party with gaming and bowling

CHEST also encouraged staff to give back to the community by supporting holiday charity drives and additional community service activities.
