Physicians
The American College of Chest Physicians is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education (CME) credit for physicians.

The American College of Chest Physicians designates this live event as eligible for a maximum of 29.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Physician Assistants
The American College of Chest Physicians is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The American College of Chest Physicians designates this live activity for a maximum of 29.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits

Sleep CME/CE
Physicians attending CHEST 2024 can claim sleep credits. There is a maximum of 21 hours of sleep credits that can be earned, depending on sessions attended. These hours are NOT in addition to but are included in the 29.5 credits offered for this live meeting. A separate CME/CE certificate of credit is available.

Additionally, a list of each sleep session offered at CHEST 2024 is also available. If this information is needed when reporting sleep credits, please mark which sleep sessions you attended and submit with your Sleep CME/CE certificate. European Attendees
The European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology (EBAC) will recognize certificates obtained by European physicians who attend cardiovascular medicine activities offered by US providers accredited within the ACCME system. Those physicians would submit their CME certificate from CHEST directly to EBAC to have EBAC credit awarded. The American Medical Association (AMA) has an agreement of mutual recognition of CME credit with the European Union of Medical Specialties (UEMS). Under the terms of this agreement, European physicians can earn ECMEC® by attending live events worldwide that have been certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

ABIM Maintenance of Certification
Successful completion of this CME activity enables the participant to earn up to 29.5 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC points.

Upon successful completion of this activity, CHEST will submit your completion data to ABIM via ACCME’s Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS) for MOC points. Please allow 3 to 5 business days for points to appear on your ABIM record.

To prevent delays in receiving MOC points, please make sure that your full name, date of birth, and ABIM number are correct in your CHEST account. (Your full name must match exactly as shown in your ABIM account).

Additionally, please make sure that ABIM account is current. This can be done by signing into your ABIM portal or contacting ABIM directly. If you are unsure of your account status or have questions regarding your account, please contact ABIM at +1 (800) 441-ABIM or request@abim.org.


 

CHEST CME/CE credit and certificate of attendance instructions

To complete the CME Activity Evaluation for CHEST 2024, claim CME/CE credits, and download CME/CE certificates and certificates of attendance (COA), please see the instructions below. You must complete your evaluation and download your certificate by April 8, 2025.

  1. Visit the CME/CE Evaluation web page, and sign in to your CHEST account. The web page link will be available at the conclusion of CHEST 2024.
  2. Complete the CHEST Annual Meeting 2024 Comprehensive Evaluation.
  3. Complete the claiming prompts. Finalize by clicking the Claim button.
  4. Your certificate and transcript can be viewed under Claimed Activities on the Manage CME page.

If you need to obtain a certificate of attendance for your participation in CHEST 2024, you will be able to obtain one online. The web page link will be available at the conclusion of CHEST 2024.
