Point-of-care ultrasonography (POCUS) is vital for the evaluation and management of acutely ill hospitalized patients. This course will help you learn essential elements of POCUS with an emphasis on image acquisition and interpretation. Leaders in the field of POCUS will focus on practical solutions using interactive trainings, human models, and high-quality ultrasound machines.

This course is part of CHEST’s Critical Care Ultrasonography Certificate of Completion program.

EXCLUSIVE ADD-ON WORKSHOP | Enhance your proficiency in needle guidance and probe manipulation by adding the optional Ultrasonography for Acute Care Procedures Workshop to your course registration. You’ll spend extra time practicing general needle guidance and peripheral IV placement, central venous access (IJ and subclavian), thoracentesis, and paracentesis. The workshop will take place at the end of the first day of the course from 5:40 pm to 7 pm CT and costs an additional $149. Limited space available! Your tuition fee includes attendance at all course sessions and electronic access to course materials. (Printed materials or flash drives will not be provided.) Lunch and refreshments during breaks will be provided. Breakfast is available at CHEST-affiliated hotels.

Cancellation Policy

Tuition refund requests for this course must be received in writing by 4 weeks prior to the course start date for a full refund, less a $100 processing fee. Refunds will not be given after 4 weeks prior to the course start date. If you choose "Become a Member" when you register, only your course registration can be cancelled. No refunds will be given for membership.

CHEST reserves the right to cancel this course no later than 4 weeks prior to the start date. If a cancellation is necessary, your registration fee will be refunded, but CHEST is not responsible for other costs of attendance, such as travel.
