This award honors Alfred Soffer, Master FCCP, Editor in Chief of the journal CHEST® from 1968 to 1993, and Executive Director of CHEST from 1969 to 1992. Recipients have made significant contributions to CHEST and are often world experts in their fields, have written numerous papers and abstracts, have served as primary investigators, and/or have served as a department editor of the journal CHEST.

NETWORK RISING STAR AWARDS
The Network Rising Star Award, established in 2024, is to recognize the contributions of an early career clinician practicing in their respective area under CHEST’s Network structure. This award recognizes individual contributions in the areas of clinical care, education, research, and/or other scholarly activity and someone who has shown growth and potential within the Network and CHEST.

These individuals will be recognized during their respective Network Open Forums on Monday, October 19, and Tuesday, October 20.
